🏘️

Historic Downtown Winter Garden

Brick-lined streets, landscaping, independent businesses and a central trail give Downtown Winter Garden a strong small-town atmosphere. It is compact enough to explore on foot and varied enough for a full morning or evening.

Before you go: Major events and Saturday mornings are busier. Arrive early for easier parking.

🚲

West Orange Trail

The broad paved West Orange Trail follows former railway alignments and runs directly through downtown. Winter Garden is recognised as a Trail Town, with food, shops and recreation close to the route.

Before you go: Walkers and cyclists share the trail. Keep right, watch at street crossings and use lights if riding near dusk.

The year-round Saturday market brings together more than 100 vendors selling produce, food, handmade goods and other local products in the Downtown Pavilion.

Before you go: The published schedule is Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but special events and weather can affect arrangements. Check before leaving.

Museums, Art, Shops and Restaurants

The Central Florida Railroad Museum, Winter Garden Heritage Museum, galleries, cafés, restaurants and boutiques make it easy to build a mixed history-and-shopping visit.

Before you go: Museum opening hours are more limited than the shops and restaurants, so check them first when planning the order of your day.

Shopping and Places to Eat

Plant Street and the surrounding downtown blocks offer a broad range of independent restaurants, cafés, breweries and shops.

Pamela & George’s Tip

Our suggestion: Friday evening and Saturday morning are particularly lively, but they can also be busier. Arrive early when visiting the farmers market or a major event.
