Lakes and Wildlife
Lake Louisa State Park protects a varied landscape of lakes, wetlands, rolling hills and natural plant communities. Wildlife can include deer, gopher tortoises, fox squirrels, osprey and bald eagles.
Before you go: Wildlife should be viewed from a respectful distance. Never feed animals and keep food secured.

Paved Cycling Routes
Seven miles of paved park roads cross the rolling landscape and can be used for cycling. Rental bicycles may be available through the park concession.
Before you go: Cyclists share paved roads with vehicles. Helmets, water and high visibility are strongly recommended.

Multi-Use Nature Trails
More than 20 miles of unpaved trails pass through sand hills, swamp forest, creeks and lake country. A shorter half-mile nature trail offers a gentler introduction.
Before you go: Some routes are sandy and shared with cyclists or horses. Collect a current trail map at the ranger station.

Canoeing, Kayaking and Paddleboarding
Dixie Lake supports canoe, kayak and paddleboard activity, with rentals and guided experiences offered by the park concession. Hand-carried personal craft are also permitted under park rules.
Before you go: Water levels, storms and concession availability can affect paddling. Check conditions and wear the supplied safety equipment.

Cabins, Camping and Glamping
The park offers cabins overlooking Dixie Lake, full-facility campsites, primitive camping and concession-operated glamping options for visitors wanting a longer nature stay.
